Northwest GreenTech now offers the SkyStream 3.7 (photo) from Southwest Wind Power.   The SkyStream 3.7 is a 2400W rated wind turbine primarily designed for use in the on-grid environment.  It's on-board power invertor is designed to match the utility company grid power for a seamless grid interactive connection. 

The SkyStream 3.7 is typically mounted to a 45ft monopole tower for a clean looking installation without guye wires.  It can be installed in urban areas as well as the country.

Base price for a SkyStream installed on a 45ft monopole is $21,700, not including required permits or special requirements due to the site.

We can provide a site assessment at a nominal fee to determine feasibility and likely production.

Whisper wind turbines are primarily for off grid use and can be sold directly to our customers, although we strongly recommend allowing a professional such as Northwest GreenTech to install your turbine to ensure proper operation and safe transmission of power.  Although not specifically designed for the on-grid user, a Whisper unit can be incorporated into an on grid battery back-up application.

The Whisper series wind turbines are typically installed on a guyed tower ranging from 24 feet to 80 feet depending on location.   The tower kits* provided by Southwest Windpower include all the hardware and guye wires to install the tower, the tower pipe is sourced locally.  Since soil types are so diverse, anchors are not included to allow the installer to customize the anchors to suit the best installation.
